Thus, if you enjoy the later versions and just want a more portable one, you will find a lot of features "missing." However, any version of this game will be fun if you like a thoughtful challenge.I recently searched for other open source big strategy games (complex gameplay, interesting game world, turn based or with pause function, 4X) and I was suprised at not finding too many.

This game has been developed over the years, and it full version is now at Version 2.5.3 This Android version is at 1.1, and there are no plans to upgrade. However, it is SO intellectually challenging that, for the patient gamer, it can be absolutely addictive. This is NOT an easy game to master it took me about 20 tries before I could play it without getting wiped off the map. If you neglect any of these tasks, you will lose. You might need that much time to decide on a move, because this game - with a goal of conquering all opponents - requires not only that you build enough military units to do so, but also feed your citizens, collect taxes, grow your cities, expand your scientific knowledge, and keep your people happy enough to not revolt against your rule. As you decide whether you have made all the possible choices correctly, you can spend as much time as you want - even a couple days. Older version, but still addictive Most gamers want a game requiring fast fingers for them, this is NOT their game.
